Parenting Renovation: Week 3

Parenting Renovation: Week 3

Add a little bit of body text (7)I’m starting a journey I’m calling the Parenting Renovation. Just like renovating an old house I”m going to finance, purchase, plan, demo, and rebuild my parenting style and priorities. Every week I’m going to take on one challenge and I would love for you to join me!

If you need to catch up here is
Week 1
Week 2

What is the Goal?

Brick by brick I want to build up my children and improve myself.

How are we going to Plan?

Just like when your about to start construction on a house you need to create a blue print. Before we start to demo and rebuild we need to know what we want the finished product to look like and how you want it to function and flow. Remember we can do nothing apart for God so it is important to pray to God to help you see what is wrong that needs to be made right. If you ask God to reveal himself to you, he will.

This weeks challenge is to identify what your “structural” issues are. What are the areas you need to work on to become the best parent you can be? Keep a pen and paper somewhere in the house and jot down the areas in your life and home that you need to be addressed.
Examples: Yelling, Anger, Money, Routine, Cleanliness etc

Mini Challenge: For every area you write down that you need to work on take note of one thing that is good or that your doing right.

Scripture to encourage you for this challenge.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

1 John 4:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

John 14:27 Amplified Bible (AMP)

27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]
